Seacoast Vision Care would like to thank our amazing patients for their patience and understanding during this difficult time.
Our top priority in reopening our office to routine care is the safety of our staff and patients. Please know that we have followed every recommendation and regulation given to us by the federal and state government, and we are confident in providing the safest care for our patients.
We have made the following adjustments to our office:
***If you have flu like symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, or fever), have tested positive for COVID-19 or feel "under the weather" we ask that you reschedule any appointment you may have with our office and that you do not enter our office. This also includes if you have been in contact with anyone who has flu like symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19 or if you have travelled outside of Maine within the last 14 days. We will be screening patients at arrival.***
Office Hours - Beginning Monday, May 18 our office hours will be 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. Our office will resume routine patient appointments and glasses sales.
Appointments - Our office will begin to schedule routine appointments beginning May 18. If you had an appointment that was cancelled between March 23 through May 15, our staff added you to a waitlist to be called. We will be calling from this list, with first priority given to urgent and time sensitive appointments. Our schedule has been carefully adjusted to ensure our staff has adequate time to sanitize as people enter the practice, as well as limiting the number of patients within the office at one time. If you have a prescription, glasses or contact lens, that will be expiring soon and you are unable to come in for your appointment, please call our office and staff will assist you.
High Risk Patients - We have adjusted our provider's schedule to allow for those patients who are considered "high risk" to be seen as the first appointment of the day to limit their contact with other patients. We are happy to make accommodations for patients who are high risk or who wish to hold off on appointments until a later date this summer.
Masks - We ask that everyone wear a mask/face covering when entering our office. We ask that those who are unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition hold off on any appointments at this time to ensure their safety.
Hand Sanitizing and Hand Washing - Please wash and/or sanitize your hands when entering the office. Hand sanitizer is available by the door when entering and at our front desk.
Social Distancing - Please respect distancing when possible inside our office. Our staff will be attempting to maintain distances of 6 feet when possible.
Patient Limit Within Office - At this time we must strictly limit the amount of patients in the office at one time. Because of this, we ask that you come to your appointment alone, unless the appointment is for a child who requires a parent present or if you are a patient that requires a caregiver to be with you.
Patient Paperwork/Forms - We offer our registration paperwork on our website, both for print or to fill out and submit online. We strongly encourage that paperwork be completed in advance, and if you require another form for your appointment our staff is happy to email this to you for completion.
Contact Lens Orders - We will continue to encourage any contact lens orders be shipped direct to your home, rather than being shipped to our office to avoid contact.
Curbside Pick Up - We will continue to offer curbside pickup for instances when we cannot ship contact lens orders or glasses orders.
Thank you to our patients as we work to reopen safely, respecting the requirements and recommendations set forth by the state and federal government. We look forward to working with you and wish you continued good health and wellbeing during this time.
